GENERAL INFORMATION

To ensure a successful and enjoyable hunt, the following rules are to be observed at all times of the hunt. Failure to abide by these terms can, at the discretion of the Outfitter, results in the forfeit of your hunt without refund. Please read the following carefully, as these conditions are designed for your safety, hunting success and enjoyment.

GENERALLY

1. All of our guides are duly qualified and licensed big game guides. Without exception, they have thorough knowledge of the terrain, species and hunting methods.

2. We have had an extremely high success rate in the last 10 years. This is due, in no small measure, the quality and dedication of our guides. They are experts and must be listened to.

3. In most instances, the guide’s decision, in accordance with the BC Wildlife Act (the “Act”) is final. These instances will be outlined below. Please be aware that, if you fail to follow the directions of your guide, your hunt may be forfeited.

PHYSICAL CONSIDERATIONS

4. Given the rough terrain and potentially inclement weather conditions, we ask, for your own safety that you disclose any physical ailments to us prior to your hunt. Please do so at your earliest possible convenience. This is to ensure that measures are taken to mitigate or accommodate your physical limitations, if any. We have has some success in this, to
the extent that two of our previous hunters bagged his moose from a wheelchair.

FIREARMS

5. Canada in general, and British Columbia in specific, are jurisdictions in which there exist very stringent rules with respect to the possession, carrying and use of firearms. It is illegal to have a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle or an aircraft. Thus, prior to travel, you will clear your weapon, first, then by the pilot or driver of the vehicle.

6. All rifles must be sighted in at Base Camp, without exception. A 100-meter range is provided. A properly sighted rifle is the best assurance of a clean kill and a successful hunt.

7. While it is understood that most people sight in their weapons in prior to arrival, it has been our experience that the best intentions are sometimes if no avail. Therefore, you will not be allowed into the territory until your rifle has been sighted in to the satisfaction of the outfitter or his agents.

HORSES

8. In all probability, your hunt will be, at least in part on horseback. Please let your guide know your level of familiarity with horses. All our guides are experienced horsemen. Listen to their advice regarding the horses. Your safety depends on it.

9. We do not tolerate abuse of animals. Anyone caught abusing the horses will be removed from the area and their hunt will be forfeited.

COMPLAINTS

10. If you are not satisfied with conduct of your guide, ask to speak to the Outfitter. All of our camps are equipped with SBX frequency radios. The Outfitter will endeavor to deal with your complaint as the earliest possible time.

GAME

11. By law, your guide is the final determiner as to whether to shoot or not. Your guide will give you choices. You are entitled to determine whether you shoot the animal indicated. You are under no obligation to shoot. However, you will not shoot any animal not indicated by the guide, and under no circumstances will you shoot an animal without your guide not being present.

FLIGHTS

12. Under the provisions of the Act, it is illegal to commence hunting within 6 hours of an unscheduled flight. Your guide will not leave camp with you for that period.

TAGS

13. You will have obtained a Hunting License and Species License(s) (“Tag”) prior to departure for your camp. Tags are species specific. Under the Act, the tag and hunting license must accompany you whenever you are not in Main Base Camp, out on the trail or out camps.

14. The Act provides that the tag(s) must be cancelled (date, location, sex) as soon as an animal is down. This is the responsibility of the hunter. There are no exceptions to this rule. Cancellation of the tag must occur immediately, prior to any handling of the animal.
